2 Samuel 12:1-31;  John 16:1-33;  Psalm 119:65-80;  Proverbs 16:4-5

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace.  In this world you will have trouble.  But take heart!  I have overcome the world.”  John 16:33

 Heavy faces,  heavy hearts

Grief and sorrow looms.

Jesus murmurs words of truth

      Soothes and calms the hurts.

The world is full of trouble

Full of deceit and doom.

But inside the believer’s heart

Peace runs deep and smooth.

Seeing us

   Seeing Jesus

      Seeing the Father, One

Victory over sin and death

Christ our Lord has won.

Let us walk amid the pain

And troubles of this world.

Let us take the light of Jesus–

The path of Peace to men.

Lord God,  thank you for the peace that runs deep in our hearts–a place where you still our storms and calm our fears–a place whre your forgiveness wipes away our sins and makes us white as snow.

Thank you that you see us in robes of white; that you look at us and see your Son.  May your peace and love flow through us to soothe the brokenhearted.  Gives us eyes to see.  In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

“Your hands made and formed me,

give me understanding to learn your commands.

May those who fear you rejoice when they see me,

for I have put my hope in your word.”  Psalm 119:73-73
