Hard to admit

that I’m no good,

that I’m bad to the core.

Hard to believe

that One so good

would give His life for me.

Hard to deny

the Power of God

to turn my life around.

Hard to contain

the joy and peace

knowing I’ve been called by Him.

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes…”  Romans 1:16

Father in Heaven,  you have loved us from the beginning of time.  You have called us by name–out of the darkness of sin and death–into your marvelous light!  May we, like Paul, never be ashamed of the gospel–that the world is in need of a Savior–and that Savior is Jesus.  The gospel doesn’t make sense, but it does have the power to change lives.  Thank you for changing mine!  In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen and Amen.

“Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.”  Romans 1:7
