Malachi 1:1-2:17; Revelation 21:1-27; Psalm 149:1-9; Proverbs 31:10-24
“Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth,
for the first heaven and first earth
had passed away,
and the sea was no more…
And he who was seated on the throne said,
“Behold, I am making all things new.”
Revelation 21:1, 5
Lord God, thank you for giving us a glimpse of our future with you through the Revelation you gave to St. John. It gives us hope and encourages us to hold fast to the faith you’ve given us. We walk by faith and not by sight. We don’t see the NEW now, but we believe you when you say that “he will make all things new.” Thank you for the beginning of the NEW which took place at our Baptism. Thank you for your Word that dwells richly in us, preserving us for that great day when we will see you face to face. Thank you for your promise to put an end to mourning and tears and death and worry and pain. Thank you for Jesus who gave up His life so that we might live forever. We long for the day when we shall see Him return in majesty and glory and power–when we shall be a part of “all things new.” In His Name we pray, Amen.
“Praise the Lord!
Sing to the Lord a new song,
His praise in the assembly of the saints.”
