May 2 Hey Soul!

Judges 15:1-16:31;  John 2:1-25;  Psalm 103:1-22;  Proverbs 14:17-19

Hey Soul–

have you thought about the Lord today–

while we were running errands?

Did you thank Him for safe travels and

kindly clerks?

While you got your blood drawn,

did you thank Him for convenient

health care and the

gentle touch of the technician?

Hey Soul–

did you think of the Lord as you

walked through the city park

and thank Him for the city fathers

who provide green space

to refresh and see

God’s Handiwork?

Hey Soul–

did you send some thanks

up to the Lord for

family that surrounds you each day,

for forgiveness that smooths

the rough places

and keeps peace?

Well, if you haven’t done theses things

my Soul,

you still have time yet this Friday so

Praise the Lord!

“Praise the Lord O my Soul; all my inmost being, praise His Holy name!  Praise the Lord O my Soul, and forget not all his benefits–who forgives ALL your sins, and heals ALL your diseases; who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with GOOD things so that your YOUTH is renewed like the eagles.”  Psalm 103:1-5

O give thanks unto the Lord,

for He is good

and His mercy endures

  1. Laura, this post of yours is my favorite so far. I love seeing your own pictures here–lovely! Now I feel energized from being reminded of all that I have to be thankful for. My daughter and I did spend some time in a park by the ocean, today.
