Ecclesiastes 1:1-3:22;  2 Corinthians 6:1-13;  Psalm 46:1-11;  Proverbs 22:15

“Meaningless!  Meaningless!”

says the Teacher.

“Utterly meaningless!

Everything is meaningless.”

What does man gain from all the labor

at which he toils under the sun?

Generations come and generations go,

but the earth remains forever.

The eye never has enough seeing,

nor the ear its fill of hearing.

What has been will be again,

what has been done will be done again;

there is nothing new under the sun.”

Ecclesiastes 1:2-4, 8-9

 “What does a worker gain from his toil?

I have seen the burden God has laid on men.

He has made everything beautiful in its time.

He has also set eternity in the hearts of men;

yet they cannot fathom what God has done

from beginning to end.

I know that everything God does will endure forever;

nothing can be added to it and nothing taken from it.

God does it so that men will revere him.”

Ecclesiastes 3:9-14

The Monday difference is Jesus.

Waking up knowing that He will be with me

throughout the day

gives meaning to the

everyday tasks at hand.

Meaningful, meaningful!

“He makes all things beautiful

in its time.”

Beauty from ashes,

joy from sorrow,

hope from despair.

Serve the Lord with gladness!

Thank you Jesus for being the meaning of my life.  You are the reason for my work’s purpose as the wife, mother, daughter, neighbor, volunteer, friend, writer, photographer, encourager, thinker and pray-er that I am.  May my words and actions and thoughts this day bring you honor and glory and praise.  In your name I pray, Amen.

  1. Amen to ‘The Monday difference is Jesus’. Thank you, Laura, for writing just what I needed to read today. And I love these pictures–so pretty and delicate.

    Blessings on your weekend ~ Wendy ❀
